Oji Hiroi's Sakura Wars PS4

Bleach Illustrator Tite Kubo Working on Sakura Wars

Now out on Sony PlayStation 4!

https://games.sega.com/sakurawars/lang/en/
On April 28, the well-known video game company behind the Project Diva Miku series and Sonic have released a new game, Sakura Wars. An adventure and action game set in old-fashioned Japan. What's interesting is that Tite Kubo has worked on illustrating in the game. From seeing his work on the animated/manga series, Bleach. There are new characters with the Kubo style. And you get to play as these characters to embark on a quest to save Tokyo from demon forces.

Sakura Wars (サクラ大戦 "Sakura Taisen") was created by Oji Hiroi and published by SEGA as a role-playing visual novel. First released in 1996 and with its latest release being in 2019, it is now brand new in 2020 with better sound, graphics, and gameplay. This steampunk Japanese action game gives you the chance to forge a colorful bond with multiple characters. The player will be given choices throughout the game which settle who will be a friend or foe. There is no doubt if you are hyped for a steampunk mecha game set in Japan, this game is just right.

     Characters voice-over cast are:

     * Ayane Sakura (Playing as Sakura Amamiya) known for - Anzu Kiriyama in Kokoro Connect, Remi Ruth in Mobile Suit Gundam AGE, Mika Shimotsuki in Psycho-pass, Alisa Ayase in Love Live!, Tsubaki Sawabe in Your Lie in April, and more...

     * Seijuro Kamiyama (Yohei Azakami) known for - Kennosuke Tokisada Ouma in Kuromukuro and numerous roles in Samurai Warriors (2015 animated series).

     * Hatsuho Shinonome (Maaya Uchida) known for - Liliruca Arde in Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Shiro in The Helpful Fox Senko-san, Rui Tachibana in Domestic Girlfriend, Norman in A Promised Neverland, Hauyn in World of Final Fantasy, Hiyori Iki in Noragami, and much more...

     * Azami Mochizuki (Hibiku Yamamura) known for - Mizuchi in Beastars, Emilia in Ultramarine Magmell, Mayu Sumimori in Devils' Line, Mio Kusakai in Keijo!!!!!!!!, Noriko Sonozaki in Kiznaiver, Izunami in Norgami Aragoto, Asuramaru in Seraph of the End, Sakura Kiyashiki in Assassination Classroom, and some more...

     * Anastasia Palma (Ayaka Fukuhara) known for - Kotaho Sakuragawa in Collar x Malice Unlimited, Sayaka Igarashi in Kakegurui, Lugh in Trinity Seven, Natsuho Maki in Love Lab, and some more...

     * Claris (Saori Hayami) known for - Rachel in Tower of God, Ryouko Shinonome in 13 Sentinels, Ryu Lion in Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Eva Roux in Code Vein, Fubuki in One Punch Man season 2, Shinobu Kocho in Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba, Kyrie in Devil May Cry 5, Sachi in Sword Art Online Fatal Bullet, Cordia Beckford in Code Realize Guardian of Rebirth, Caeda in Fire Emblem Warriors, Yumeko Jabami in Kakegurui, and so many more...

And there are so many more characters to list off but it would be too long for me to list them all for you. But you can have a special relationship with them all through special dialogue sequences in the game. Each character has different combat styles and functions in the battle against demons.

Tweet from SEGA's Twitter page (US)
I just CANNOT wait to play a game like this with characters designed by Tite Kubo. Let me know what you think of the game. If you've already played it, do you recommend it to others?

Thoughts About Neil Druckmann and Naughty Dog - Updated

Thoughts About the Last of Us Part 2

There will be no spoilers in this post. Breathe a sigh of relief.

As many Naughty Dog and the Last of Us fans may know from Neil Druckmann's tweets have told us, not only one but two individuals are responsible for leaking the ending and gameplay of the sequel to the Last of Us part one. Although Neil warned his fans not to look into the spoilers as they might not like what is found, some fans just couldn't wait for the story to finally be released. In recent tweets from Druckmann, he states how much this hurts him and the fans who have been excited to play the game since it's release announcement at E3 2018.

Despite the rumors that the ending of the game will leave players dissatisfied, Neil and the Naughty Dog team have been warning players to not jump to conclusions. That the ending will be "worth it" in the end. But these leaks have left many fans upset; verbally attacking both the game development team and Druckmann. Some comments even go as far as delivering death threats to Druckmann and his team.

Taken from one of Druckmann's recent tweets at the end of April.
A Twitter user receives leaks through messages, thinks the entire story is ruined.

An angry Twitter user trying to call out Druckmann on the "truth"?

Even though there are some angry commenters out there. Some still have high hope that Druckmann will still carry on without worry over these recent threats from angry fans. Not too long ago, Neil retweeted an article by Games Industry. News that the content leaked from Naughty Dog was not caused by Sony or Naughty Dog employees.

https://t.co/T1PHot7KLV?amp=1

Spoilers for the game will not be brought up in detail. Each tweet about the subject, news, or updates posted by Druckmann discloses not to read the comments because fans are further spreading the information and footage that has been leaked. That aside, there are a few golden gems I have been able to pull from this drama. Here are some good-hearted tweets from fans of the Last of Us and the Naughty Dog team.

If you are trying to avoid spoilers but your curiosity is getting the better of you. I would advise that you do not look into the leaked footage, tweets, or images. They are all being hidden by the Naughty Dog team and every video uploaded is getting taken down. It is not worth earning a bad footprint on social media. As this user has replied, if you love the team and their games, do not ruin the chance to play it for yourself. Find out on your own if the game is worth $60 or wait for the game to be released and the footage is uploaded properly

Both supportive and hateful comments sound the same to me. The hateful bash while the good tries to save the day. From the first game to its sequel, fans have supported Naughty Dog for years. All of this negative attention may lead the team to either re-write the story or suffer the negative reviews. From my side of opinion, I do not believe the team will re-write the story. It has taken a lot of time, work, and effort to finish what has already been made. If it was erased and refurbished, what would the point be? You would already know there's a good ending? Is that what would make you happy, a good ending in a zombie apocalypse-themed game? Will the high-defined graphics, music, and characters not put you at ease? All of these questions may have been answered, but the true question is, "Is this your story to narrate?" Based on the fact the temperamental fans believe this story is theirs baffles me.

If you are a writer, artist, or game renderer/developer. Why not create your own ending? Instead of complaining about the work of another creator. I do not believe Neil is to blame. The amount of time it took to write this ending or maybe the entire story was all ready to go. Since June 14, 2013, Neil has had 7 years to think about this story. As brought up in one of his tweets, there are "rumors" that will be put to bed. Should we all judge and assume there will be more bad news in the future? Probably. Due to the in-game leaks and rumors spread of annoyed fans, there is no one in the right. We (the fans) are all in the wrong.

     1. Spreading or leaking story content is not right.
     2. Harassing the team and writer because you are unhappy is not right
     3. Spreading rumors that you do not know are true is not right
     4. Spreading spoilers because you are angry at Neil and the team is not right
     5. Watching leaked footage is not right even when you've been warned not to. (Why would you?)

If your eyes have been sparred, please. Read this step guide to not spoil the game for yourself.

     1. Both on Naughty Dog's page and Neil Druckmann's, DO NOT read any of the comments. There is a wildfire of spoilers down there.
     2. DO NOT open any unrecognized chats on Twitter (where most of this information is).
     3. Make sure if you see anyone trying to spoil the game, report their post IMMEDIATELY to either Naughty Dog, Neil, or the Twitter team.

It will get better from here. Stay safe and sound in your homes.

The Last of Us Part 2 release date has been announced: (M/D/Y) 06/19/2020!

How to Save on Games and Systems in Michigan - 2019

Where and How to Save for Your Gaming Systems

A Guide to Getting Good Games & Systems in 2019!

WARNING!! Some of the items listed may change price over time. These are the current, up-to-date prices of these items. At any later date, these prices might change.

With new systems coming out every 5-8 years, that means games are going to be made for these newer systems. But what happens when you want to buy a pre-owned or new system? How will you calculate the cost versus your income? Well, this guide will help you with that. Read below to find out how you can save your money and buy those well-earned games/systems while still having some leftover cash.

The following material is calculated for states/countries which have a 6% sales tax on goods. Other states sales regulations may not apply to the following material.

     1. Play Station 4

Play Station and Xbox users have been known to fight over which system provides the best games and services. But it's all up to the eye-of-the-beholder. If you live in the United States, you might know that Game Stop is one of the top-selling video gaming re-tail stores. A lot of customers like them, some do not. How would you, as a gamer, support this retail store? By buying used games!

Used games are what get Game Stop their revenue. But it is not only used games, but it's also their systems and other accessories, too.

     Pre-owned PS4 500 GB OG Price: $219.99 ~ TAX: $233.19
     Pre-owned PS4 Slim 1TB OG Price: $249.99 ~ TAX: $264.99
     New! PS4 Pro 1TB OG Price: $399.99 ~ TAX: $423.99

A lot of PS3 games didn't take up much space on the PS3 system. But with the PS4, it's different. Some games could take up 1/4 of space on your 500GB PS4. At Best Buy, you can get an external hard drive that plugs into your system with a USB cord (usually come in the package... please read boxes before buying).

     2TB External Hard Drive: $69.99 ~ TAX: $74.19
     4TB External Hard Drive: $149.99 ~ TAX: $158.99

Controllers run from $49.99 to $59.99 new or used.

2. Nintendo Switch/Nintendo Switch Lite

The Nintendo Switch is smaller but similar to Nintendo's WiiU. Only, the two joy-sticks on the side detach themselves from the small screen. It's a portable 3DS-like version of the WiiU and started at around $499.99 when it first released. Now, the price has dropped and before Christmas, I would buy one of these quick.

What Nintendo recently released is the Nintendo Switch Lite. Which functions just like a regular switch, only you cannot take it apart. It is a portable PSP-like system with only 1 screen (similar to the switch).

     Pre-owned Nintendo Switch: $279.99 ~ TAX: $296.79
     New Nintendo Switch: $299.99 ~ TAX: $317.99
New Nintendo Switch (Lite): $199.99 ~ TAX: $211.99

     Nintendo Switch PRO Controller (optional)
     (New): $69.99 ~ TAX: $74.19
     (Pre-owned): $59.99 ~ TAX: $63.59

Nintendo Switch Dock Set (optional): $69.99 ~ TAX: $74.19

What Holidays?

Which Holidays Should I Look Out For When Shopping?

There are three holidays you should look out for when shopping for gaming merchandise. Christmas, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday are all good holidays you need to mark on your calendar. Here's why...

1. Christmas

Christmas is that time of year when store prices drop a little bit so you can buy the gifts you want. A lot of stores are open the day before Christmas. But other stores close a few days or even a week before Christmas. It just depends on the state, store, or area you're buying from. Even while buying online, it could take a week before you will get your items. Timing is VERY important!

2. Black Friday

Yes, we all know about this holiday. This year, Black Friday will take place on Friday, November 29th. It's when almost every store lowers its prices by 30-75%. Game Stop, Best Buy, Walmart, etc, are no different and they're one of the few biggest participants on Black Friday. If you do not want to get swarmed by thousands or hundreds of people, read the last holiday below.

3. Cyber Monday

Cyber Monday takes place the Monday after Thanksgiving. This year it will be on Monday, December 2nd. It is a holiday that crowns those smart online shoppers. Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, and other online stores will lower their prices just like on Black Friday. Some store will even have a physical Cyber Monday after Black Friday when you can go inside the store and not wait for shipping.

God of War (PS4) - Atreus Arrows and How They Function

God of War: Atreus Arrow List

How They Work/How to Get Them

     1. Regular Arrows

These arrows are automatically with Atreus once you start the game. Just go through all of the tutorials and you can use the following controls. Atreus's arrows do come in handy so make sure you power them up in the skills section of your menu.

     2. Light Arrows

Light Arrows are achievable once you grab the light of elves in Alfheim. Atreus will be angry with Kratos for leaving him alone for so long. When really, only short moments pass by for Kratos. Then, Kratos will ask for Atreus's bow, using the light to give you light arrows. Now you can go back to other areas where you've seen blue crystals similar to Alfheim. Then have Atreus shoot them, giving you more areas to explore.

     3. Shock Arrows

Once you bypass the black breath by using the light of Alfheim, you'll need to go back to the mountain where the dwarf's lift stands. Because the roots are gone, you don't have to climb all the way back up the mountain. You can just use the lift to carry Kratos and Atreus up the steep climb (awesome, right?). Once you get to the top, there should be a dungeon you enter with a deer statue in the far back of one of the rooms. In front of Kratos, there are two crystal holders with one crystal missing. Walk towards the gate to your left and open it. There should be a crystal above your head you can use the axe to knock down.

Get ready, because you're going to fight a dragon in order to get these arrows. This dragon shoots a string of lightning out at you and that's where the spark comes from. After saving Sindri from this dragon, he's going to ask Kratos to retrieve a tooth from the dragon's head. After using the axe to cut the tooth off, Sindri will ask Kratos to run it along Atreus's bow. This will give you shock arrows

To switch between arrows use the top button on your d-pad (directional control pad).

Detroit Become Human: Connor and Hank Tips

Connor and Lt. Hank Tips for Detroit!

In Detroit Become Human, there are several relationships you can develop with certain characters. First, there are three main characters one should look at. Connor, Kara, and Markus are the main characters in this game. Alice, Luther, Hank, and North are side/supporting characters that play alongside Connor, Kara, and Markus through the game.

But a lot of players seem to care more about Connor and Hank's relationship in DBH over the other relationships with our main characters. There will be a tutorial/tip guide on how to develop relationships with the other characters posted at a later date. For now, this blog is going to focus on Connor and Hank's relationship and how you can improve it while playing Detroit.

     1. Choices

When you first meet Hank, his sitting in the fifth bar Connor goes in search of him. After scanning bodies in the room (optional), you get to talk to Hank. It's best not to act too cocky at first as Lt. Hank seems to dislike androids a lot. But at the end of this conversation, you should buy Hank a drink for the road. This action will slightly improve your relationship with Hank.

Next is the interrogation room, where Connor will suggest talking to the deviant android. This part can be tricky for new players. It's best to keep the deviant's stress level to a minimum of 75-80% so that it does not self-destruct. You can do this by playing good cop/bad cop but never prob the deviant's memory for it will be too stressful for it to handle unless it's stress level is very low. Once you succeed with this scene, your relationship with Hank will go up. Just make sure Connor does not get shot in the head

After a couple of scenes with Markus and Kara, you will land in the police department. Where Hank will enter work in late. Analyze Hank's workspace to discover his music, pet, sports, and android interests. While talking to Hank after sitting at your new desk, make sure you avoid the "baseball game" and "avoiding android" options, for these choices, will give you that unsatisfactory red arrow next to Hank's name. Towards the end of this conversation, you will piss off Hank with whatever choices you put together, so don't worry.

There is a scene after persuing Kara when Hank goes to get a meal from a fast food restaurant. After analyzing the area you will walk towards a small, outside table where Hank will begin eating his food. Each choice will boost your relationship with Hank. After you are done talking with him about why he dislikes androids, you can ask Hank if he wants to know anything about you. Then he will reply with a somewhat 'same' response. Answer with "truth" and your relationship will also raise up.

While Connor and Hank are in search of a suspected deviant, the player (you) will chase it until you see Hank struggling off of the side of a building. In this scene, you should save Hank from falling. This will rapidly increase your relationship with Hank and he will even get all flustered after (awe).

The scene where Connor enters Lt. Hank's house is important for later. And some good context as to where Connor and Hank are going to next. In this scene, you get to unlock the "Hank's son, Cole" choice for later in the game. And you also get to know that Hank "love jazz". Before, in the police department, learning Sumo's name is also beneficial in this scene so he doesn't attack you once Connor breaks into Hank's house. (I recommend the stripy shirt because it looks snazzy on Hank in my opinion.)

The next part where you get to play Connor and Hank again is the Eden Club. Here's a tutorial (no one makes good ones anymore)
  • Probe traci number nine - A blue-haired traci headed toward the entrance.
  • Connect to the traci dancing on a pole by a number 7 - It turned back into the club
  • Another pole traci by number 12 - It turned to the red room
  • Go into the red room and connect with number 29 - It turned into the blue room
  • After walking into the blue room, number 23 by the doorway - It hid in a room
The blue-haired traci has left the room. So you will turn around and be back in the blue room
  • Your final probe will be the janitor who is mopping in the blue room. It sees the blue-haired traci flee through the staff door
  • The "Staff Only" room is located in the blue room. The deviant android basically leads Connor and Hank astray so she wouldn't be found.
You cannot skip any of the models. You must complete these steps in a-z order to get the blue-haired traci.

Sparing the deviant traci will get your relationship with Hank to raise up rapidly. He agrees with what you did being the right thing. And you two will bond over it.

Hank and Connor's next scene will be in a park while it's snowing outside. If you want to learn more about Hank, you're going to get Connor to ask the "personal question" first. This way, you'll have the option of choosing suicide attempt and his son so you can get more of a backstory. You can also ask Hank about rA9 if you've seen the etchings on the walls in Carlos's house and The Nest. In this scene, it's impossible to not bond with Hank.

Make sure when Hank pulls his gun on Connor that you don't respond with irony or no. This will get you a bad ending with Hank shooting Connor and their relationship to damage rapidly.

Markus will give a speech around the day after you have a small fight/argument with Hank. In the newsroom, there are three androids in the kitchen. You can interrogate them and find out which one is the deviant. You will notice when one of them is a deviant given their reaction while interrogating them. One of them will look over to you instead of standing still. The android to your far left is the deviant. It will retaliate and cause you to almost shut down unless you grab the knife out of your hand and crawl to Connor's heart then chase the deviant to the end of the hall. Grabbing the policeman's gun is my personal favorite because Hank respects your good shooting skills. While Connor is sad the deviant is dead, all humans are alive. You can also take a look at the other endings for this part of the chapter.

  •      Protecting Hank - Hank will like you more / public eye will go down / system instability will go down / Connor will die in this ending
  •      Grab the policemen's weapon - No one dies / Hank's reputation goes up
  •      Run on a defect - Everyone is alive / Hank's reputation goes up / system instability will go down
There are other endings involving the rooftop but this is a good way to build a bond with Hank without dying. If Connor doesn't die throughout the whole game, his empathy for others increases.

When you get a meeting with Kamski, he will test Connor and whether or not he is a deviant. Chloe will be placed in front of Connor, on her knees. Kamski will then pull a gun out of his drawer and order Connor to shoot the android. Not shooting the android will rapidly increase your relationship with Hank. Shooting the android will cause it to decrease, meaning Hank believes you made the wrong decision.

Connor and Hank will return to the police department. After talking with Amanda, Connor will wake in Fowler's office. Choosing regrets after you finish your first choice won't affect your relationship with Hank. Just don't choose "no doubts". Also, choosing to be sincere with Hank will raise your relationship level as well as your system instability level.

This part is a little challenging. While viewing the evidence in the locker, items from previous chapters will be located there. It's up to you (the player) to choose the correct order of items displayed. Luckily, here's a guide for you.

  • Walk to the android on the left of the room. - One biocomponent will be missing.
  • Walk to the center and review the tablet that contains footage from your interview early on in the game. - "The answer is inside"
  • Still, in the center, watch Markus's speech video. - Will give you more options for later.
  • In the center of the evidence room, there's the statue from Carlos's house. - Break it to find a note inside.
  • There will be another android to the left side of the room. - Take parts from it and place them into the android on your far right. (Part should be numbered #3983).
  • The Android you'll be talking to is one from the kitchen. Choose "trick" and you'll be able to probe it's memory after.
Congratulations! You eluded Perkins, the prick!

There will be a Jericho scene and if you want Connor to stay alive, don't piss off Markus. And make sure you execute each command quickly. If you fail a lot of them, Connor might die.

Kara, Alice, and Luther will reunite and make their way to Canada. And soon after, Connor will be on his way to the sub 49 floor of the CyberLife building. This is where you will meet Hank and an imposter Connor. Here's what you need to do...
  • Choose sumo when Hank asks you for his dog's name.
  • Choose Cole when Hank asks you for his son's name. (You can only unlock this in Hank's house while exploring).
If you did good in Markus's route, Connor should appear with thousands of androids. You will have achieved a good ending. Just make sure you know what the way out is.
